What Is Our World Coming Too?

                                                                                

Yesterday, I was just sitting home relaxing, after a hard day of work and I over heard some young men bragging about someone they just shot. To my surprise they act like they really did something special, like shooting someone was suppose to be cool. Aren't the weekends suppose to be about having fun with friends or family? Its sad that  you can't  even watch the  daily news, without hearing or seeing someone commit a crime. It make me question, "What is our world coming to" ? Hearing this makes me miss the good old days. When people used to gather around on the weekend to hang out with their friends and have fun . My brothers, sisters and I had the house that every kid in the neighborhood wanted to hang out at. Why? Well we were the only house on the block with a basketball goal and my sisters loved to hop scotch or jump rope. Those were they days! Back then girls had pony tails in their hair, the boys either had Afro's or were clean cut. We would blast our music, eat pop sickles or pickles and have fun. Children in my day used to climb trees, play in the creek or rivers and ride our bicycles until we were tired. Then on Sundays we would go to church and later to grandmothers house. We never had to worry about anybody harming us, because each neighbor looked out for the other and families really loved each other. Back when I grew up families, friendships or connections really meant something. People took pride in themselves and especially their children. Now it seems that pride, dignity or self worth is gone
In today's time, children hang out, with their pants hanging off them talking or bragging about what they did wrong or who they are trying hurt. Even some of today's adults are constantly plotting ways to harm their family members, friends and even their own spouses. It seems that today's children or adults take pleasure in harming or hurting the people they are suppose to love. Our young men or women are constantly trying to find ways to embarrass or humiliate their family or peers, through social media or the Internet. Its a wonder that there is so much crime or destruction. I only wish our children, these young people of today, had the pleasure of growing up in my time, because the world would be a much different place. What is our world coming to? You tell me, but if I had to answer this question truthfully, its coming to an end. Write in and  express your thoughts or opinions on the subject.
